At St. Martin's we recognise that good communication is vital to learning, friendships, academic achievement and ultimately success in the future for all our pupils.  We are proud of our staff dedication towards building a communication friendly environment in both Early Years and Primary classes. 

• Communication friendly classrooms make communication as easy, effective and enjoyable as possible, providing motivation and building self-esteem and self-confidence.
• Communication friendly classrooms are good for all pupils.
• A communication friendly school supports all pupils but can be especially effective for pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

 

Building a Communication Friendly School requires dedication from our amazing St. Martin's team. We are proud to have achieved Communication Friendly status for not only our EYFS learners, but for all our children!

Elklan was born out of a passion for supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
