Multiplication & Division

An array is a visual representation of showing a multiplication fact. Each row and column has the same number in it.

Multiples of 2, 5 & 10

A multiple is a number that is divisible equally by the number.

A multiple of 2 is always even and ends in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8.

A multiple of 5 ends in 0 or 5.

A multiple of 10 ends in 0.

Multiplying and dividing by 3 (up to 12x3)

Children need to learn their 3 times table off by heart, both multiplication and division facts.
