Year 4
Welcome To Year 4
Following an exciting Spring term, with a trip to Chester Zoo, lots of special visitors, sporting achievements and Young Voices, we are looking forward to the Summer, with many more fabulous events to look forward to. Summer takes us to Castleshaw Roman Fort, where we will delve into a world from over 2000 years ago! We have a lot of fantastic memories to make, including a singing and dancing world record attempt at Boundary Park.
Important:
Multiplication Check: The multiplication tables check (MTC) is statutory for all year 4 pupils. The purpose of the MTC is to determine whether pupils can recall their times tables fluently, which is essential for future success in mathematics. It will help the school to identify pupils who have not yet mastered their times tables, so that additional support can be provided. We will administer the MTC during the week commencing Monday 9th June.
Please ensure that your child is accessing the practice multiplication tables check on Purple Mash as regularly as possible.

If you have any questions about the check or the practice, please ask Mr Harrop.

Homework will be set on Friday and due in the following Friday via the Purple Mash website. Spellings will be set on Friday and tested the following Friday.
It is really important that you read every night and bring your book to school every day.
