Year 4

๐ŸŒผ Welcome to Year 4 Summer Two! ๐ŸŒผ

We hope you had a fantastic break and are ready for an exciting and active halfโ€‘term ahead. Summer Two is packed with handsโ€‘on learning, outdoor experiences and opportunities for children to develop their curiosity about the world around them.

A highlight of this term will be our visit to Castleshaw Centre, where we will take part in a Science: Habitats field study day. This will bring our classroom learning to life and allow children to explore real environments, observe wildlife and develop important scientific skills.

Our class continues to grow as a team, showing leadership through our Leader in Me journey — taking responsibility, supporting one another and demonstrating independence. Our strong focus on oracy also continues, helping children to confidently discuss, explain and present their ideas.

๐Ÿ“ Weekly Reminders

  • Homework: Set every Friday, due the following Friday via Purple Mash

  • Reading: Please bring reading books every day — little and often makes a big difference
