Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Wider reopening of schools: Some safety tips for parents and carers.

Schools wider reopening safety leaflet

Due to a lack of demand for child-care places, school will close on Friday 3rd April to all pupils, including children of key workers.  We will reopen to vulnerable pupils and children of key workers on Tuesday 13th April - please contact school if you are a key worker, or the parent of a vulnerable child and have not informed school of your child care needs.

We are providing a mobile number during these unprecedented times so that you are able to contact a member of the senior staff at school if we are closed.  This number is:

07395 916 214

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Arrangements for lunches from Tuesday 13th April

Following the announcement by the government this week, school will move from providing lunches for collection each day at school to a voucher system which will be sent directly to each eligible parent via email.  Parents will receive an email in the next week giving them details of how to access the vouchers.

This is in line with the Governments' most recent scientific advice.  Parents have been asked to keep their children at home, wherever possible, to limit the chance of the virus spreading.

To redeem your voucher (you must do this and not simply take your code to the shop) please visit this website.

If you have any queries, please see the document for details about the voucher system including frequently asked questions.

This is an extremely difficult situation which impacts us all, but we are following the Government advice to ensure the safety and well-being of all members of our school community.

We will be updating the website with any information we have as well as using Parentmail to send e mails.

St Martin's will now focus on the provision of home learning by doing the following:

  • Home Learning packs will be sent out.
  • There are now class email addresses where pupils can contact their teachers regarding their learning.
  • We will provide links to online learning resources. (Bug Club, Emile, TTRockstars).
  • Information and tasks will soon be made available on Home Learning pages.

Please use the class contact email for learning related issues only, for example sharing your home learning with a teacher or asking learning related questions.

We will try to respond to any emails as soon possible.
