Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers

In today’s lesson we are going to be focusing on adding –ed to the end of words.  When you add -ed to the end of a word the word becomes past tense and it is known as a verb. An example of this is;

They talk to each other.  Present tense means it is happening.

They talked to each other. Past tense means it has happened.

In the story of Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers there are 20 words that end in –ed.

Here are some of them; asked, floated, packed, pushed, looked, searched, helped rowed and reached.

Think about what happened in the story. I want you to choose 5 of the above words and put them in sentences. I have done one for you.

The boy pushed open the door.

Remember sentences have a capital letters, full stops and fingers spaces.
