English

Log into your Bug Club account and read some of the books in your online book-bag. If you have any problems, please use the email above.

Explore new vocabulary you find when reading. What are the origins of this word? Can it be modified? Can you find any synonyms or antonyms for your new word?  Make a list of any new vocabulary in the back of one of your exercise books from school. Maybe you could choose your favourite word and design a poster to show the meaning.

Maths

Telling the time is a really important skill for life. Practise telling the time, perhaps a grown-up could help you. This could be done through an online game (link below). Reading time to the nearest minute, using am, pm and 12-hour clock times would be great! Don't worry if you find it tricky - start with o'clock and then move onto half past, quarter past and quarter to. Adults and older brothers and sisters are brilliant at telling the time and will be able to help you.

Curriculum - History

Begin making your own time capsule to record this important time in world history. Over the next few weeks you could include:

  • daily diary entries
  • newspaper clippings
  • photographs you have taken
  • sketches or drawings
  • a letter to your future self, describing your age, friends, favourite TV show, songs and books etc. and how you are feeling
