Good morning Nursery,

I hope you all had an enjoyable half term. As before, I will be setting daily home learning on the website and using Tapestry to supplement this. If you have anything you would like to share with me, upload it on Tapestry or send me an email.

I look forward to seeing your learning on Tapestry.

Our Jigsaw theme this half term is changing me.

This week we are thinking about "my body".

Sing the song heads, shoulders, knees and toes doing the actions.

Play Simon says with an adult, naming different parts of the body, for example "Simon says nod your head. Simon says wiggle your fingers".

Ask an adult to draw around your body or look at a photograph of yourself. Can you name the different parts of your body? What do they do? Why are they important?

Count out 10 clothes pegs. Write numbers 1-10 on the pegs (one number on each peg) - you may want an adult to help you with this.

Find a piece of paper or card, or you could tie a piece of string between two posts and place the pegs in order along it.

Once you have ordered your numbers, ask an adult to challenge you:

  • find the peg with the number _____ on it
  • find the peg which shows the number that is one more than ______
  • find the peg which shows the number that is one less than ______
  • remove a peg and ask "which is missing?"
