Look at this picture of Katie Morag can you think of some adjectives to describe her?

Can you write down some adjectives to describe Katie?  Remember an adjective is a word that describes an animal, person, thing or thought.   Adjectives are words that describe what something looks like and what it feels like to touch, taste or smell.  Adjectives can be colours and words that describe the temperatures or size.

Here are some  examples:  yellow, small, and cold.

Make a number track to 20, or longer. Make it relevant to your child’s interests- space, castles, sea world or monsters. Then play on it.

Game 1

Throw a dice. Move along that number of spaces. Before you move, you must work out what number you will land on. If you are wrong, you don’t move! The winner is the first to land exactly on 20. Now play going backwards to 1.

Game 2

Throw a dice. Find a number on the track that goes with the number thrown to make either 10 or 20. Put a counter on it, e.g. you throw a ‘4’ and put a counter on either 6 or 16. If someone else’s counter is there already, you may replace it with yours! The winner is the first person to have a counter on 8 different numbers.

This website has a few different number tracks so have a look.

Have a look at this website and look at the plants and flowers Power Points – Parts and Functions of a Flower, The Lifecycle of a Flowering Plant and What Plants Need to Grow.  Talk about the facts you have learnt with your family.
