Good morning everyone, I hope you and your family are all keeping well.  Welcome back to the Year 1 Home Learning page.  Thank you for listening to yesterday's story in the Year 1 Story Time session.  I hope you enjoyed the story of The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister.  Today I am going to read The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr.  This was chosen by Libby.  I hope you like it.  Thank you for the pictures that you sent me of The Rainbow Fish.

Listen to and watch the story of Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers on the above link.  Once you have listened to the story read answer these questions to the adult that is working with you.  After you have said your answers write your answers to the questions in sentences. I have done one for you.

Who are the two main characters in the story?

The two main characters in the story are the penguin and the boy.

What does the boy find at his door?

How does the penguin feel?

Where does he take the penguin first?

Where do penguins normally come from and how does the boy find out?

Why couldn’t the boy sleep at night?

Did the boy take the penguin to the Arctic or the Antarctica?

What happened at the end of the story?


Remember sentences have a capital letters, full stops and fingers spaces.
