BBC Bitesize have daily lessons at https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/
All these lessons are suitable for year 1.
Can you describe this picture to your family? Write down any adjectives that you have used to describe the picture.
Can you write down some adjectives to describe Katie? Remember an adjective is a word that describes an animal, person, object or thought. Adjectives include words that describe what things look like and what they feel like to touch, taste, or smell. Adjectives can be colours and words that describe temperatures and sizes.
Here are some that I thought of.
There are some small oranges.
Katie had a long, red hair.
You need a 1–6 dice, paper and pencil.
• Take turns.
• Choose a number between 1 and 10 and write it down.
• Throw the dice and say the dice number.
• Work out the difference between the chosen number and the dice number, e.g. if you wrote down a 2 and the dice shows 5, the difference is 3.
You could also draw a number line to help your child to see the difference between the two numbers.
Have a look at this website https://www.twinkl.co.uk/ and look at the plants and flowers Power Points – Parts and Functions of a Flower. Please can you label the parts of the flower and the plants?
Write three sentences about flowers and plants remembering to use capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. Please underline each part of the punctuation. I have done one for you.
There are many different varieties of plants and flowers.
