Thursday 4th February

Welcome back : ) We had a busy day yesterday! Lots of new learning, particularly the tricky vocabulary in Spanish and Geography. Can you now say the date in Spanish? Can you remember some different ways that landforms are created?

In today's English work we continue with a vocabulary focus, improving our word choices to make our writing sound more formal.

In Maths we'll be learning a new calculation method called short multiplication ( Keep practising on TT Rockstars- it'll help!). We'll also be learning ( in R.E.), about what happens during the Christian period of Lent and why it is important for Christians.

Keep up the hard work and do send it to us via the Year Four email page once you've completed it.

READING

In our reading lesson today we will be continuing our unit on The Lake District ( I wonder if you could locate The Lake District on a UK map?). You will continue to answer questions based on the reading sheet on The Lake District which you read earlier in the week.

Keep up with your reading on Bug Club. We will update your book choices as you make progress through the different texts.

RE - Holy Week

Many Christians believe that Jesus life was inspirational. What does this mean? How might Jesus' life inspire you to live yours ?This week we're thinking about what the word 'sacrifice' means. Why do Christians believe that Jesus' death was a sacrifice?

We are soon beginning the Christian time of Lent. Click below to find how Lent and sacrifice are linked.
