WALT multiply pairs of proper fractions

WILF

  • numerator x numerator 

        denominator x denominator

  • convert answers into mixed numbers
  • simplify fractions

 This session remind us about multiplying fractions. Question 3 has missing numerators, denominators but the clue is to use what they give you and find the answers you can before finding a missing number. An example is below.

WALT use the simple past, present and future verbs correctly

WILF

  • make sure the subject agrees with the verb
  • know there are regular and irregular verbs
  • make sure that the verb makes sense in the whole sentence

Spellings

 

Sort the spellings into ou and ow spellings. How many other words can you find with the same spellings- they must have the same oh sound!

We're going back to simple sentences today so that we are reminded what a sentence or main clause is and to remember to use sentence punctuation correctly.

 

WALT write simple sentences and add punctuation. 

WILF

  • a simple sentence is a main clause
  • a simple has a verb whether it is a doing or being verb
  • it needs a capital letter and a full stop , ? or ! at the end
