Please look at the picture below, then choose some of the activities to do in your exercise book from school. You could share your learning with your teachers by asking a parent to help you send a picture of your learning to your class email address.
She gritted her teeth and began the climb.
With her vulnerable young perched precariously on her back as she ascended the branch, the extra weight caused her paws to tremble, and her sensitive whiskers to twitch at the strain.
Now that their nest had gone, and storm clouds gathering overhead, she was desperate to find a new location to begin building again. It was their only chance…
Can you continue the story of the possums as they strive to find a new home?
Alternatively, you could do further research on possums and produce a non-chronological report about them?
Can you use adverbs in your writing to describe how something is done?

What do you think has happened to their nest?
What is the mother possum thinking?
Which of the baby possums has the best seat and why?
Possums have incredible senses. Which of our senses do you think we use the most?
These sentences are ‘sick’ and need help to get better. Can you help? Could you add an adverb?

Think about where the perfect place for a possum to build a nest might be, then draw or describe it.
