Grab your play dough and child friendly scissors. Can you roll your play dough into a sausage. Use you scissors to cut it into lots of smaller pieces. How many pieces have you got?
This week's name writing challenge will be across the week. Can you create a mosaic of your name? Each day there will be a task to complete to work towards the end goal. (You will need glue later in the week, if you need a glue stick, please send me an email and I will make one available to collect for you.)
Can you cut your paper into little squares ready to create your mosaic tomorrow? Cut strips first then cut them into smaller pieces.
*if you feel your child is confident at writing their name - they can do this independently, without their name card and all letters are formed correctly (using the formation sheet provided) - please let me know and I will create an activity pack that can be used instead of this activity to support pencil control and letter formation.*
Today we are having a go at combining 2 groups.
Understanding the World
WALT: understand what floating and sinking is
Yesterday in Story Time we found out what happened to the Gingerbread Man.
Watch the lesson below about floating and sinking. I wonder if you can think of a different way the Gingerbread Man could have crossed the river.
