Good morning everyone,  I hope you and your family are all keeping well and have had some fun in the snow.  Welcome back to the Year 1 Home Learning page. Today I have added some new learning resources  for you to compete.   I loved reading yesterday's story of The Gruffalo Child by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.  Today's story is going to be Goldilock's and the Three Bears by Mara Alperin and  Kate Daubney.  I hope you enjoy it.

Geography

This week as it is Chinese New Year on the 12th February and it is the Year of the Ox. I would like you to watch and listen to the story of how the years are named after the different animals.  Follow the link below;

I would like you to write a list of the order that the animals finished in the race.  You could draw a picture of each animal.

Do you know what Chinese New Year animal it was in the year that you were born?

I was born In the year of the Horse.  Ask an adult to help you research this on the internet.
